Camping!!!

Oh my we had FUN!!!

We had a wonderful time camping with family. We went down with my parents, Uncle Kelly, Casey, Rosshell and Lilly!!! It rained off and on, but did not get super bad. Not even that cold. Just kind of annoying. We still were able to have fun!!!

Evan got to ride on the quad on the sand for the first time. My dad took me out so I could get pictures of them riding. Casey, Rosshell, Mike and I went out and I got some awesome pictures of the guys riding. I can't wait to get the blown up and framed!!!
We stayed up late, ate junky, yummy food and had a blast!!! I always wonder how I am going to control the kids in an open area and the not so normal days of life, but the days go by so fast. We played in the sand building mots and rivers for the boats...went to the beach and walked around, went to the park and played and of course the JEEP!!! That Jeep lasted all weekend on the battery and they were driving it all over the place. The Jeep kept them so busy and it was a wonderful thing to get them around without them walking or us having to carry them all over the place.
All the kids were troopers. Even in the rain!!! Uncle Kelly taught Evan a hand shake and he still tries to do it!!! My mom and Evan were naming the animals ( charlie the bird and Slammy the slug). Lilah was having a blast putting her hands in the water and wondering around. Acting like the big kids!!! Lilly and Evan had so much fun running around, putting the scooter on the trailer and tying it down.
the guys had so much fun riding. No one got hurt and nothing really got broken!!!

Hopefully we can get out there again this summer or somewhere else to camp. Evan was asking why we needed to go home. He had so much fun.

My Dad is Awesome!!!

Ok...So I know that I mainly blog about the kids and things we do with them or things they say...But this one is about my dad!!! ( which is kind of about the kids)

I have been taking the kids over to mow the lawn at the old house during the day...It is a little bit of a challenge, but the kids do wonderful. Just pack some special snacks and a yummy lunch!!! This is something that I do for Mike. He works so hard that this is just something that the kids and I can do to make it a little easier on him!!! My dad found out and then started to watch the kids while I went to do it and then just started doing it for us in general. The little things like this, something that is easy for my dad, is a Huge favor for us. It means Mike can come home straight after work, I can have that extra time with the kids, and we don't have to worry about fitting it into our already crammed weekend.

We went camping this last weekend and it was a blast. I will do a few post about that today or tomorrow. So not only did my dad watch the kids for me so much last week with the kids, since I was trying to get work in and get everything ready for camping, he took our tent and set it up and got the kids' bed ready for them. All Mike and I had to do was put a couple things in there and we were set for bed time!!! We loaded his truck with a bunch of stuff, one being our dirty clothes tote, he brought them to me today washed and folded, saying it is one less thing that I would have to do!!!

He is so wonderful. He watches the kids for me when I need it and even when I don't. He just calls and says "What day?"It is just so funny. Then there is the kids' face. Lilah just followed her Grampie around the campsite just gabbing to him. Then there is Evan who is Grampies little helper. I love that they have this relationship!!

It is just so thoughtful and nice that he does these things for us. I am so glad that the kids are close to him and that I know he doesn't mind watching them for me/us.

4th of July weekend!!!

We had a blast all weekend long!!! We got to do so many things with Family. We hung out with Grammie and Grampie on Friday, working on the pool deck and having a BBQ!!! Then Sunday off to church we all went then spent time together just the 4 of us and of course we did GAME NIGHT!!!! That was a lot of fun. Then Monday came around and we took Evan to see Cars 2!!! This was his 2nd movie in the theater and he did ok. I am not sure if he liked it as much as the first one, but he still sat and watched it. Then we went back to Grampie and Grammie's and ate dinner, played in the pool and did a few fireworks. The kids did not get into it that well. We decided to pack up and head home and they both were asleep in the car and carried to bed by 7:30. I woke Evan up at 9 to watch fireworks...We were outside for about 15mins then he asked to go back to bed. I was kind of sad that he did not enjoy them like last year, but I know he was super tired. They did not wake up once through the week of fireworks. They are amazing little sleepers!!!
Lilah on the other hand does not like the loud noises!!! She runs and screams. It is some what comical, but I also feel bad for her.

All in all we had a very relaxing 4th of July!!! Hopefully next year they will actually stay up for the fireworks and Lilah wont run and scream from them all!!!

FUN in the sun and PJ's!!!

This is one of the main reasons why I write this blog...for nights like this.

Mike and I were eating dinner outside while Evan was playing...He came up to join us and eat with us. Mike and Evan started to wrestle and Mike was dipping his head into the pool.

We ended up all soaked in our clothes or jammies. We were splashing each other, laughing and going down the little pool slide. We had such a great time out doing that with Evan. It is so nice that we still get that time alone with him. I just cherish these days.

The only bummer about tonight is that I was in the pool and could not take pictures. I love getting these type of events with a camera, but my brain and my blog will help keep these memories alive and something to look back on when the kids are older.

We did pop its tonight and Lilah was having a blast. Evan kept taking the ones that did not pop for her and popping them. Last night we did some sparklers..Evan wasn't too sure of them at first, he did not want to hear the big "pop," so once he saw that it was fine he did not want to stop. Lilah held onto her first one as well and she was so proud of herself she wanted to show Mike right in his face...he was quick on his toes, so no one was hurt. I can't wait to see how the react this year to the fireworks. Evan really enjoyed them last year and He is really excited this year!!!

I will post again soon!!!
