Swing Time

Lilah went on the swing for the first time last week. She had fun, even though her face does not look like it. She made the same face as Evan did his first time on he swing. She liked it, just had a funny face. Now Evan wants her to swing next to him all the time :) They are really good together.

Evan is a big boy now. He is potty trained!!! Well, not 100%, but 95%. Most days no accidents, maybe a poop, but that is about it. We are working on that one. I think it just comes on too quick for him!!! We are so proud of him!!! He asked to do it all on his own, we were going to try later this month, but he asked a few weeks ago!!!
We love being outside. Lilah is really loving her excersuacer and her bumbo seat. Evan has been picking the tomatoes out of the garden and loves eating them. Same with the carrots!!! can't wait to have some more stuff.
Summer has been great so far. We are so blessed!!! Can't wait to see what happens next.

Mommy and Evan's date

Yesterday Evan and I went to go get ice cream. We had so much fun. We sat in the car and he sat up front with me. He asked for the music to be on and to be buckled up. We sat, ate our ice cream, clapped and danced. We had a lot of fun. We talked and shared our ice creams. We had so much fun. I can't wait to go out on a date with him again :)

Water Balloons!!!

Evan got introduced to water balloons this last week. He had a blast. He was so patient on waiting for me to fill them up. He even filled up his grocery cart full and then splashed them all. He kept helping me fill them up and tie them. He just laughed when they broke in his face and would say "awet," "abreak." Super cute and funny. He would through them at Raider and Ruby, but not Lilah, which was a good thing. She just sat in her seat and smiled and watched us run around. She loves being outside. I am so thankful for that. All in all it was a great summer day. We love that the weather is finally warming up. It is fun to be outside and play games with Evan. next summer will be even better with him being older and Lilah being able to join in the games.

Fun in the Sun...while it was here

This weekend was a gorgeous weekend, then it got gross again. We had a lot of fun out in the sun. We worked in the yard together and played together. Even Lilah had fun :)Evan was even sharing his hat with Lilah. He has been such a great big brother to her. I love to watch him help her or take care of her. I can't wait till they can play together.
I sit here writing this with Lilah in her swing and she is filling up her panties VERY loudly and smelling!!! She is my little girl who sounds like a man who just ate chili :)
Evan just has so much fun playing outside. I wish the sun would come out and stay out. We are just so blessed to have the kids and that Evan is so nice to Lilah. I am sure that will change from time to time, but for now he is so good to her. I know they will have such a great bond as they grow up.

Dedication

OHH We had such a great day on Sunday the 13th!!! We got the kids dedicated at church. We did it with Joel and Hosanna as well, so they did Calebs. It was so nice. After church we all had a BBQ together with the whole family. We took up so much space at church, it was great!!! We are so happy to have everyone at church and in our families supporting us in raising the kids in a christian home. The gift that God has given us with these kids and with our marriage is so wonderful. The dedication was so over powering. It was hard for me to hold back all the tears. Knowing we have gotten to know some really great people at church. It tears me up just thinking about it.
We are just truly blessed. The only bummer is that I was so busy making sure everyone got a seat together I forgot to give my camera to someone, so I don't have pictures. I know the church will have little something and hopefully someone else took pictures. It will always be a great day and memory in my head!!!

Thank to everyone who was there to share this with us!!! We love you all :)

Lilah Leigh Marie

OH my little Lilah.

We had Lilah on April 9th, 2010. She was born 2 weeks early via c-section. She weighed 8lbs 11oz and was 21 inches long. I chose to have a c-section with her since we knew she was on the bigger side, she would not stay down and I had a pretty bad delivery with Evan. They offered it to me in the beginning of the pregnancy, but held off making a decision until the very last minute. A c-section was so easy. I would do it all over again. It was great. The recovery was not bad at all either. Super easy!!!!

Lilah has just been a true blessing to this family. Evan has just grown to love her so much. He shares his luvee with her and helps burp her and wipe her spit up. Mike just lights up when he sees her. He has his little girl and she already has him wrapped around his finger. I am scared to see what will happen when she is a teenager :)
I am so excited to see what will happen in the months and years to come as Lilah gets older and the bond between her and Evan grown even stronger. We are so happy and grateful to have them both in our lives.

MAN OH MAN!!!!

It has been so long since I have posted a blog. Life just got so busy and not that it is any less sane, I just really wanted to start writing again, or should I say have Evan and now Lilah start writing again :)

Hopefully I can write a little everyday, so we won't feel so overwhelmed with it all. Plus then you all will know what we are thinking, or doing for the day. There are so many cute things that the kids both do everyday that it is hard to share them with everyone or to write them all down. So hopefully this will help me/us.

Lilah had her 2 month check up this evening and she is 12.15 lbs, 25inches long. She is 1 oz thinner than Evan was and 1 in longer at his 2 month check up. They are both nice and healthy!!!
So to start it off I will be posting a picture of the kids from this morning.

I will really try to keep it up.
